Voted best hip-hop group in the world by notorious magazine "Rolling Stone", Cypress Hill have sold more than 15 million albums, played at the largest festivals on the planet and collaborated with the biggest rock groups such as Sonic youth, Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam. Formed in 1988, the multi ethnic trio consisting of Sen Dog, B-Real and DJ Muggs, decided to call themselves Cypress Hill in homage to a street in their neighbourhood. But Cypress Hill is not a rap group like any other, because their sound is always the fruit of a fusion of genres alternating productions that are upbeat and sometimes gliding. Furthermore, the quasi systematic presence of guitars, bass and drums added to typically hip-hop samples has made tracks like "Insane in the Brain", "Rock'n'Roll Superstar", "Tequila Sunrise" and "What's Your Name", to name but few, timeless global hits.
