Some projects are born because it is the obvious thing to do and it makes good sense. This is the story for Empyr. The five protagonists could easily have continued to keep their distance, each leading fine careers in their respective groups, However, even if Empyr started off as a simple side project, depending on the availability of Ben, Florian, Benoit, Fred and Jocelyn - respectively singer and guitarist of Kyo, guitarist of Watcha, bassist of Pleymo and old drummer of Vegastar - today this new group is their priority. This priority can be identified by their choice of English - interesting for a group who, from their very first album, claimed to be an international machine. This first album was quite timeless and accomplished wavering between grunge, stoner, pop, electro and folk sounds with influences like Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead and Deftones.
The next stage for this young group is live performances. The quintet is eager to perform concerts in the four corners of the world but first of all, will be at the Ardentes for you to discover before anyone else.
