Somewhere between post punk, new wave and noisy pop, John & Jehn are two characters straight from 1950s film noir. With a unique and intoxicating sound, their unusually energetic concerts and raw, bare melodies have charmed London, where these two Frenchmen are now in exile. With spellbinding intensity on stage, the duo launch themselves into their music, generally leaving the audience open-mouthed. John with his icy eyes, moves like an epileptic Elvis around Jehn with his sunny charm. Les Inrocks talks about them as a mixture of the obscure class of the Velvet Underground and the primitive blues of the Kills, while the English NME mentions Joy Division and The Fall.
