THE DODOZ (FR)
The Dodoz are just in their 20s and have just prematurely put an end to their studies. Too much time being spent on music. Such a young age has not prevented them from already being veterans of the new French scene "pop-slim-converse" which makes the Strokes seem old and bedridden. The Dodoz didn't come in on the last boat and refuse to be labelled as part of the latest fashionable phenomenon like every other long-haired post-adolescent group. After an excellent EP, great things are expected of this year's highly anticipated first album. On this album, the group want to dispose of the verse-chorus format: "Our music has evolved in relation to what people know about us. Four years ago, when rock was back, all new groups were happy to make rock music. Today, this is no longer enough", they say. Intentions to explore at the Ardentes in the full throng of guitars.
