Das Pop are the perfect incarnation of classy Flemish pop. The group have fired off one gem after another since 1994, like “Love Program”, “Du” and “Fool for Love”. With a fourth album under their belt, “The Game”, these Ghent locals now seem to be gathering even more momentum. Bent Van Looy has dropped an octave and pays tribute to his first crushes, notably The Beatles and Abba. Recorded in New York and produced by the group themselves, this fourth opus imagines pop on a grand scale.
